Caressaa has treatment rooms and two cabins holding what look like futuristic space capsules. The Dermalife spa capsule offers a combination of steam, aroma, LED lights, and a Vichy shower, that allows guests to get a shower while lying down. The Alpha LED Oxylight spa capsule is a dry heat, oxygenising sauna.

I decided to skip the vigorous Scottish Awakening, and chose the Rejuvenation treatment in the Dermalife capsule. The LED lights change from lavender to poster red, and are said to have the ability to penetrate the skin. I had to trade in my clothes for skimpy disposable underclothing, and felt a bit claustrophobic as I lay in the pod but life got better pretty soon. While “face air” gently assailed my head and neck and masseuse Roma kneaded my scalp, the bed vibrated and alternating hot and cold water jets enriched with vitamin E flowed on to my feet, knees, hips and torso.
