Kala Ghoda Festival 2010 - Day 5 (10.2.2010)

Day 5 of Kala Ghoda started with ADAPT performances(Its an NGO which works for the Physically Challenged people).... The "special" ones won our hearts by performing on some HIT numbers.... Its always a great view to watch a "special" performance.. and notably... it was one of them.

The extremely talented , Shabana Azmi was present on Day 5. Watch an exclusive interview of her below:

SALAAM Bombay Foundation had kids of Rajawadi School, Ghatkopar singing against the use of Tobacco with a tune of a well-known Hindi track.

The next to come were Nrityodaya who continued the classical forms which were closed temporarily. These Bharta Natyam troupe members performed an outstanding dance. They gained lots of love and appreciation from the crowd who was watching them. Watch them perform now !!!

Next arrived were 3 beautiful ladies (One of them was suppose to be the one who seduced Rahul Bose in the movie Dil Kabbaddi) with their reflex moves. They were doing a Contemporary dance which got a lot of "Ohh Ahh" expressions from the crowd. The videos are below. Watch them.

Classical Dancing continued with Pernia Qureshi's Kuchipudi performance and the amphitheatre was rocked with some applause at equal intervals in the dance. Her expressive performance was enjoyed by Sonam Kapoor who was there for the performance. The video is below... Watch it... and catch her glimpse

The next to rock the stage came Split Sole Dance Academy (Jazz Funk which was described in the last blog) They managed to gain a lot of roars from the crowd. I think the performance speaks a lot for them rather than my words.

Sankhya Dance Creations were the last to come on stage with their Bharat Natyam performance. They surely showed us the true class of the Dance which is dwindling in comparison to Western Dance forms. Watch their vidoeo and be inspired.

Also the Glamor Quotient seen at Kala Ghoda Festival Day 5 was worth a mention.

Day 6 sees a lot of potential with Dance from M2's federation at 7 pm(Amphitheatre). If you need some ancient dance form them you need to visit the same place at 8pm. Anand Patwardhan and his two movies to be screened with Q & A session with him at Max Mueller Bhavan from 7 pm.

Animation lovers have a lot of Animated Short film from around the world to be screened at BNHS 6 pm onwards

Music lovers have Ustad Fazal Qureshi at 9, Amphithetre(which would be moved to Horniman Circle). The same venue has Workshop Music from 4-6 pm.
