The main festival of Mumbai started today

The festival.... the carnival... the crowd puller.... just got more BIGGER this time. Last time it was the Mini Fest... This time its the MAIN FESTIVAL !!! 

 

The day started with the inauguration of the festival and the crowd at the Amphithether were greeted by some of the beats from miles away.... A place were IPL Edition 2 was held... You guessed it right... Fresh from South Africa. They DRUMMED their way into the feets of the audiences and got them singing, tapping, clapping and dancing with them.



The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm.



 

The day continued... and we were back on our Motherland for some DANCE... First starting up with Prince Group from Orissa. The one who won India's Got Talent. Yep... They were there.. and probably a few of you missed their "Tribute to India - Flag Act". Nevermind, we were still there to shoot it for you.

The day continued with Sri Devi Nrityalaya (Not to be confused with the Actress) from Chennai. They brought in India's best Bharat Natyam with them and produced it on the stage. Their nritya was captured by our Photographers(Look in the photos section) and also the video is also present below.

 

 

The day continued and we saw some great LIVE Akshay Kumar style Martial Arts mixed by some Dance moves. I aint talking about some bollywood movie. It was time for Mayurbhanj Chhau Troupe, Orissa. They performed their moves flawless and left the audience amazed.

We also managed to have a word with Suchitra Pallai, Watch on:

Prince Dance Group was again brought on stage for their Last and Finale winning Act. The Act was well received by the crowd.

 

We also manged to gain an interview from them.

The festival really got the crowd going for More than their MONEY's worth.... Oops... There isnt ANY ENTRANCE FEES for this festival.... What are you guys waiting for then??? Hop out from your bed... Wear your shoes... call up your family/friends and walk-in. Coz tomorrow is the day where you dont wanna miss. Chetan Bhagat giving a lecture at 6:30, Rock Bands performing right from 11am. and ofcourse some really good theater act which are never to be missed.

There is much more for your children to enjoy. So bring them along ! See you there. :D
