Another eventful day at the Kala Ghoda Art Festival 2010 - Day 7 (13.2.2010)

Great performances.. As usual... Read on to know more...!!!

Day 7 of Kala Ghoda.... was looking to be one ordinary day.... But you could think it could have been ordinary....?? Not at all...

The day started of from a very small dance based performance to show that "Change is possible". The kids did a great job to represent what Pearl Padmasee's Create Foundation had laid down. The video is below.. Please watch it...

Next to come were students from Don Bosco Development Society. These kids performed a traditional Wali performance to impress us with it. Their performance video is below.... The crowd loved it.. and so will you....

We spotted Ragini Khanna, otherwise known as 'Bharti' from Bhaskar Bharti television series and were glad to interview her. Watch the video:

Another TV artist we interviewed was Kamalika Guhathakurta, popularly known as 'Gayatri' (Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi fame)

The musical night started with Mithaavin, a Fusion band, which was able to charm the audience with their dedicated music. They lead a wondeful performance followed by a jugal bandi which led to many applause from the audience. Watch them perform right here:

Geetu Hinduja, a well known artist for her Folk/Alternative music.... Performed there too... Watch her performance.

The surprise of the day was.... Ustad Faisal Qureshi. His act was cancelled yesterday.... But he left that behind and brought in what was expected from him.... Music..... one of a kind. Pity the ones who just come for one performance and left.. But guess what.. We have a video.... Watch it..

The last performance of the day came from a well known artist with a new band. Shilpa Rao.... was a member of a newly formed band "Band called Nine". The songs were the newest ones and it was an honor to listen to them as they could easily connect to the normal public. Watch their performance here... also "Tose Naina Lage(Javeda Zindagi)"

Day 8 challenges you more music and dance. Symphony Orchestra performing at Asiatic Library(Outside) 6:30pm. Also Ashley Lobo's Dance troupe at Amphithetre.
