2,500 cops are hospitalised in Mumbai due to Malaria

Last two months, the Mumbai city is totally captured by 'Malaria'. Even Police people are as helpless as common man. More the 2,500 policeman have been hospitalised by now.

Also, DGP (Director General of Police) D Sivanandhan was recently hospitalised due to bites if mosquitoes which had infected him with Dengue.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sanjay Barve, in a meeting with the BMC authorities last week, said around 15 per cent among the traffic police department are battling malaria.
Then there are cases of malaria in policemen’s family, keeping them away from duty. The number of policemen and members of their family visiting the 12 police dispensaries in the city stands on an average at 300 per day in the past two months - an increase by almost 100.

This is making Police force less in town. Commissioner has given some preventive measures to cops. But the fact is when Policemen's are facing with epedemics, what should 'aam Janta' do?

Who should teach BMC now. They have to do domething about it. Seems like BMC is just standing with folded hands and watching the drama a of familes of common man's who loosing their lifes due to Malaria.
