Kala Ghoda Festival 2010: Chetan Bhagat’s speech in David Sasoon Library Garden.

At the second day of the festival, Chetan Bhagat was called upon to give a lecture on Kala Ghoda at David Sasoon Library Garden. Mr. Shree Ram was also called upon who was one of the Retailer of Mumbai. After the speech given by Chetan Bhagat there was a conversation with Shree Ram. The audiences were limited and different age groups were attending his speech. Many of the writers were attending his lecture.

Questions were asked to Chetan Bhagat regarding the experiences of his writing style, his qualities of being a writer, the controversy which took place recently. He suggested the writers that write the content in a funniest way and try to complete the book.  His intention was to carry the style of writing of Arundhati Roy but later he realized that he is nowhere like her. But after his writings, he realized that he is what he is i.e., he is having his own style of writing which is distinct from other writers. 

A question was asked him regarding about the controversy which recently happened with him and about the adventurous of Bollywood. The answer for this question was very supportive by him saying that he has good relations with media. For him, Bollywood was quite adventurous and it was a big issue for him and for other writers. The writers, the media were very supportive for this issue. It was very bad experience ever happened with him. For Bollywood, “No Ethics and Critics” are there, it’s all upon the producers who take the credit of the film and writers are not given any of the credit.
Questions were also asked by audience. It was quite good conversation regarding his experiences and style of writing.
