Kaminey:- Review

Must Watch.

Vishal Bhardwaj likes his audience to think and it starts right from the title of the movie. Kaminey is not your typical movie name, neither was Omkara but that's the essence of a Vishal Bhardwaj film.

Dark, bold and unpredictable and these words aren't enough to describe the movie. Simply because each scene begets another. This movie has  given Shahid, a role to die for, actually two. Yes, twin action at its best. In every frame his sincerity towards the job assigned is exemplary. The bare it all scene is well shot and yummy (refer the pic on right..). Priyanka Chopra too delivers her role of a maharshtrian mulgi with ease.

The plot:
Two identical twin brothers, one stammers (Guddu) while the other lisps (Charlie). Everything they do is poles apart until, one deadly night. While Guddu finds out that his lady love, (Sweety aka Priyanka Chopra) is out to get him, Charlie gets sucked into the mess of greed. Money, drugs, guns, cops, politicians, gangsters and everything that's uninvited in life becomes a part of theirs. And this is just the beginning.

And if you think that the movie has enough masala to keep you glued on to your seats then the  already-massively-popular 'Dhan Te Nan' track will literally make you move your body. The song is  aptly played time and again to create magical moments. If the script of the movie is great then the depiction is superior. Vishal Bhardwaj movies are usually a team effort and this one too has some fantastic performances.  Amole Gupte,  Hrishikesh Joshi,  Chandan Roy Sanyal and Tenzing  Nima  have all done complete justice to their parts.

Till the end the scenes keep you asking for more. From the dialogues to the lingo, everything fits the bill. The thought put behind every aspect of the movie is intense and immense. Vishal bhardwaj has craved a niche for himself and his fans would not be disappointed.

One thing is for sure, the moment you walk out of the theatre, you'll find yourself humming 'Dhan Te Nan'.
