Children's Event on 2nd Day at Kala Ghoda
The 2nd day at Kala Ghoda was very enthusiastic for children.
Kala Ghoda started from the 6th of February 2010 on near Jehangir Art Gallery at Mumbai. Kala Ghoda Festival is a celebration of arts and crafts that brings together the works of artistes in the fields of music, dance, theatre and film. It offers an interactive cultural concoction for Mumbaites.
Kala Ghoda Festival is organized by the Kala Ghoda Association, which was established in 1988, with the aim of improving the existing infrastructure of the area, and giving it a distinct identity as Mumbai's art district. The Kala Ghoda festival is also a medium for the revival of arts across Mumbai.
The entire area is decorated into a pedestrian plaza. Portrait paintings, traditional mehendi, exotic bangles, cuisine and traditional Parsi breakfast are the main attractions of this festival. Folk dancers, musicians and singers entertain the gathering. It was a wonderful event of the year as all are invited freely. Above all this the most cutest and the sweet event was of the small children .
Firstly, the painting and stiching canvas Bags which took place in the parking lot at 4.30 pm sharp which was conducted by Meera Nagpal ages from 7-12 yrs. The registration limit here was only 20. Parents joined their children and supported them in large numbers. All children were busy in making their canvas bags. Then the another event took place at the same venue which was of Games of Yore at 5.00pm sharp which was conducted by Amit Kothari playing and creating traditional games. The other event conducted side by side was the Karadi song Hour only for kids which conducted in the Museum Garden presented by Karadi tales only for children from 4 – 8yrs old. Then there was a event of Colors of India which was even for the children in the parking lot.
At the side of these events there were the Surf Excel event which was based on the theme of “ Daag ache hote hai. Surf Excel hai na”. in this event there were children making clay articles and playing with colors on their T-shirts. This was all for the day of 2nd day in Kala Ghoda for the children.
