Make a wish
Merry Christmas :)
I believe in hanging stockings. I believe in Santa Claus. Because Christmas is the time to believe. There is nothing naïve or childish about hoping to find something precious and coveted on Christmas day. For a little boy it may be a bicycle. For a little girl it may be that doll or dress. It could be a ring or a wrist watch. But true joy is in finding not things but each other. For children it is time with parents. Time which is not controlled by the alarm clock, mobile phone or train schedule. For a wife it is the meal she enjoys with her husband.
The meal which they relish at the table, not just finish from the tiffin. For Grandparents, when their door bell is rung by grandchildren it means Santa has arrived.Christmas shows us that nothing received can make us happier than the act of giving. So let us spend the last few days of 2009 in giving. Our time, attention, money and most of all love.

Through the year we look for joy in possessions, work, duties and chores. Then comes Christmas and the last week before the New Year. Our chance to do what we never seemed to find the right moment for. A time to find true joy in believing that there is more to life. Family, friends, faith and fun. The four F words that make life worth living. This is the opportunity to look back and finish the unfinished jobs of the year. To ask for that apology, to speak your heart after rehearsing that perfect proposal endlessly in your head. Let us not carry baggage from this year to the next. There is a Santa in each one of us. It is time to off load those wrapped packages.
