Aane Wala Ek Toofan Hain

Cyclone Phyan

All the ‘ashiqs’ who have been singing ‘Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan Hain’ endlessly since the morning must go through this before making plans for a romantic outing in the days to come because the Weather office on Tuesday sounded a cyclone alert for the coastal regions of south Gujarat and north Maharashtra, where it is expected to make a landfall in the early hours of Thursday.

Oh yeah, we all know that its been raining cats and dogs but that might mean a lot more than just the phrase ‘November Rain’ and as a result of the deep depression, coastal parts of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra are expected to experience squally winds with speed of up to 75 km per hour over the next two days.

Even the Traffic Police Department of Mumbai has issued a warning urging people not to leave home unless and until it is very important and Mumbai may expect heavy rains for two days. There have been instances of traffic jams at various parts of the city which might spell a lot of discomfort for people in the next 48 hours.

The world can wait, be safe, stay at home and step out in case of a dire necessity. The weather condition is worsening and we hope it will be cleared out soon. On the other hand, I am wondering if the line ‘Aane wala koi Toofan Hain’ was all that required after the opening line.
