MIBS at Bandra Kurla Complex

It was a great start to the fourth edition of Mumbai international Boat show 2010 as promised by the chairman Mr.Maneck Davar .This time the event reached its real importance by the help of FICCI and the main sponsorors Gitanjali & the Times of India along with Spenta. As MIBS (Mumbai international Boat Show) was organised on water as well as on land .The on land exhibition was held at Bandra Kurla Complex wherein the water exhibition was at Gateway of India.

The main idea behind this Show was to give an upliftment to the marine industry making people aware about the importance of water industry and its hold across world. Exhibition at Bandra-Kurla complex was an expo to give a meagre opportunity to Indian as well as Foreign boat industry .

It was wonderfully handled with well trained staff as well as high qualified deligates. On other hand it was a fun to enter and to have a glimpse of Boat equipments, Accessories for navigation and many more related to the parts of Boat and yachts.

Well the most awaited event of the year kept their promises as it gave maximum exposure of water industry and paved the importance of water sports as well as export of luxury yachts. The Exhibition was so colourful that it was indeed a treat to watch as it was filled with so many informative sessions on how to access yachts, speed boats, wind boats etc.

Well there was variety of International boats as well as Indian boats, Luxury yachts, Aluminium boats, Inflatable boats, Fibreglass boats etc.

In all MIBS added a flavour of knowledge including showcasing variety luxury yachts as well as boats which one may not be able to find it easily. Well as a viewer it was a fun to be out there, if you missed out the show this year I would say to catch the fifth edition of MIBS next year...

  • Awesome!

Thanks for your article that, according to the impressions I collected personally, fully represents what MIBS 2010 has been for me. I attended as a foreign visitor, for the second time this year. Last year it seemed to me that the idea of developing yachting and the necessary infrastructure was just starting in India, and that many of the panelists at the Conference where somewhat unaware or uncertain on how to handle this phenomenal issue that everywhere in the world has created job opportunities, industrial development, entertainment, healthy lifestyle, and environmental awareness and improvement. This year there seemed to be a considerable and positive momentum: Authorities, Organizations and the Organizers seemed to "have done their homework" during the previous months, that's for sure. I saw clear presentations of new ideas, plans, projects for the future. Maybe it will take time to get all that started and going, but at least there seem to be, now, clearer ideas and checklists, that are the starting point of any activity bound to produce results. ...and, most of all, there seemed to be a great deal of enthusiasm from all the players involved.
