I am HUMAN first, Indian later.

this is regarding the recent controversy involving SRK, sachin tendulkar etc... Does mumbai belong to india????? Go back to class 2 geography and find out!

I am a Mumbaikar, A Maharashtrian, An Indian, An Asian, A Global Citizen… and a twitterian.  More importantly, I am ME! These boundaries are for the ease of governance. The lines that we draw are not to separate but give each one of us an individual identity. To give the face a voice and a choice to be heard in the motley crowd. But sometimes, some people stretch these lines a little too far. And use it to their credit, and the discredit of the multi million population.

I am referring to the recent controversy that docks and locks the fate of humanity.  In fact not recent, it has been happening since long. Does Mumbai belong to India? The obvious answer is YES.  And a citizen has been pulled up for stating the obvious.  This citizen owes a lot to Mumbai. Here is where he took his first steps and metamorphosed from being a novice to catapulting to super stardom.  And he has been vocal about his love for the city and the people here. And one statement of his, that states the apparent   has left people fuming.

Yes, I am referring to the “I am an Indian” spurted by Son of this Soil - sachin tendulkar, followed by more controversies by Son of That Soil – Shah Rukh Khan.   I am not speaking against the senas of the world… or for the congress and NCP.  I just am speaking for MY Rights… and against the rampant goondaism that is perpetuated.  I wonder how much  our political parties we can stoop in degrading our security and well being. Sachin Tendulkar is such a humble and uncontroversial human being. He has been crowned the Maharashtra Pride by many  organizations. His love for the land, his mother land has been questioned? Why??? Because he said that “Mumbai Belongs to India”????

And SRK, he decided to rope in a pak player in his Kolkata Riders team. You disagree with his stance? Well, You could protest, use mediums like the internet, file a case against roping in any Pak player for the IPL. I mean that is what intelligent sane people would do. Violence is the resort of the psychologically impotent. It shows how weak a man is cerebrally , that he needs to  pelt a stone, damage property and lose absolute civic sense to make their voice heard.  I am not a great fan of Shah Rukh Khan, but I completely am with him when he speaks against the violence that people who disagree with his view resort to. “It’s not an attack on property, but on liberty”  he says… And that’s so true. Isn’t it funny, that we are fighting ajmal kasabs of the world and we don’t have the liberty of  thought in our own country. We are held captive and we have to practice the prescribed. If we tend to deviate, we are warned of dire consequences. I was amazed and amused to find Manohar Joshi openly challenging SRK on TV saying “Maafi toh Maangne hi Padegi” .  Kyun?? Aur kisliye… asks SRK… I have to ask is a or any political party equivalent to the supreme court of India?

Why do we have laws then…???   How silly that people have to do such cheap antiques to get some news. Any publicity is good publicity… isn’t it? Political parties have done this before… targeting films and filmstars ransacking property, blackening faces, and even killing people just because they dint agree with a certain point of view.

People grow up! even school children behave more responsibly than you.

On the other  side, I am totally with the shiv sena and groups that are protesting Saif Ali Khan’s padmashri. What has he done to achieve such a great honor? A dozen films and you get a Padmashri?

The point I am making is that I am not against political parties as such. But I repeat again… violence is the resort of the impotent.

Yes, people , I am Indian.

Prove your impotency… what are u waiting for?
