The swearing in ceremony was an event to remember. Flashed in the TV screens were some poor people who used violence to prove their point. They don’t posses the strength or the vitality of the mind to pull on a debate or follow the path of legislation. Violence is the resort of the psychologically impotent. They suffer from erectile dysfunction. They cant hold a thought erect and follow it up with patience in the courts of law. They prematurely ejaculate their thoughts with a lot of dishoom-dishoom action.
I was saddened by the fact that twitter was filled with comments against these people who beat up a person who took his shappath in a language that was not Marathi. I wish to make a humble request to the glitterati and twitteratti to not abuse these people. These poor drenched souls need our sympathy and pity. They are patients, and need to be treated with patience. I heard that they have been expelled, they shouldn’t be. They should rather be treated for their mental impotency.
Shower your sympathies over the poor delinquent souls…
FYI. For those who lack humor of sense… the above sentences were obviously with intended pun
Marathi gets abused, raped and molested every day by her own sons of the soil. As I train up the distance from home to work and then back… I hear Marathi in the most uncouth and unrefined form… something that evokes disgust and anger in me. Much so, because I hear “bhen” and “Maa” in every sentence… and it often speaks of their anatomy… their vagina, their breasts et al. It puts me in sheer shame, and maims me of my pride… the pride that I take in being a true Mumbaikar, a true Maharashtrian. Yes, I can’t speak Marathi well. And may be even if I spoke good Marathi, I could be considered an outcast. For id not swear in every sentence. No, Im not painting the whole Marathi community with the same brush, once on my facebook status message when I expressed my disgust about the use of swears in Marathi, I had my very fine and close friend Aaditya Joshi correct me, he made me rethink my stance, and with my own research and trysts with Marathi, I should confess I fell in love with the language. Though yet, I can’t speak the language fluently.
If I were The Raj, id bring in a legislation that gives me the right to penalize every penis that speaks about women’s anatomy erotically and vulgarly in Marathi (in fact in any language, but for Raj’s sake, lets speak only Marathi) . The language could be refined with a definite dose of literary debates, competitions, theatre ensemble. No language could be forced down the gullet. For if it is, it will be anyways not digested. It will then be shat, peed and puked out…
What Mumbai witnessed yesterday was a moment of utter shame. We are reaching the anniversary of 26/11. And there is so much that we could do to keep alive the names of the ones who sacrificed their lives for us at this time. Needlessly but, we are focused on these trivial issues. Raj has every right to voice his opinion. Let me tell you, that there are many concerns that he raises, that even I agree with. But as I said earlier, violence is the resort of the impotent, and I guess I am too virile to get into that. More ominous than that is the people on TV who are giving interviews justifying the stance of the MNS MLAs who beat up abu asmi. It is such a bad trend that such “if you cant earn it, steal it by force” mentality is becoming the herd mentality.
I choose to be heard. I choose not to be the herd.
Did you know???
Raj’s kids study in “Bombay” Scottish, an “English” medium school
What can I say... except - Jiyooh Mere Laal!

there are certain things with regards to the usage of marathi that we need to think about. raj never opposed any language..it is not the disrespect for hindi but to insist marathi.as far as schooling goes it was these marathi governement schools where education and facilities were considered best once upon a time.also as there was less competition then as a minimum qualification was enough for a job.today, however if u want to send ur child in a marathi school there are not enough oppourtunities available.the acadamic and career system is moulded in such a way that its difficult to survive with a regional background which is not nice.and that is a reason why not only raj but many other marathi ppl send there childrens to english medium schools. if marathi is respected in the state the way it is supposed to be? in the sense that any job can be done in marathi may it be of a public or private enterprise then there well be a need to ppl having the knowledge of the state language. as far as raj goes he is well aware of the fact that he and his men will not be accepted in the society till the time they deliver, do what is need to be done for the developement. "Raj wants an uneducated land of people so that he can rule" is kind of a filmy dialouge i think as it is not practical. i am sure that if we really undertand the issue raised by him then we will understand the stand he is taking

Betcha he won't do it! He's using the language only for his political desires and ambitions. I pity maharashtrains who don't get his motives. Moral of the story: "Raj wants an uneducated land of people so that he can rule" After all little Education (Knowledge) is dangerous!
